How To Use a Curling Iron
With the right tools, styling your hair can be a lot of fun! Barbar
curling products produce perfectly soft and bouncy curls without over
drying because they are coated in tourmaline and titanium with ionic
components. In addition, using curling irons with a variety of barrel
sizes like the Barbar Spring 3 in 1 Tourmaline Curling Iron enables
creating curls in a variety of styles and sizes. To ensure silky and
shiny curling results, we suggest using
shampoos,
conditioners and hair
treatments such as the Barbar Crystal Seal.
To begin, shampoo and condition your hair thoroughly. If your hair is
dry or damaged, let the conditioner sit in for a few extra minutes
before washing it out. Use a towel to dry your hair as much as possible.
To avoid frizziness, apply about 6 drops of Barbar Crystal Seal and
spread it evenly throughout your hair. For thick hair, add a few extra
drops and for thin hair use a little less. Utilizing a curl enhancer on
thin hair can amplify curl results. Dry your hair completely with a blow
dryer before beginning the curling process. Based on how big or small
you want your curls, choose barrel sizes that are appropriate. Smaller
barrel sizes will create tighter curls and bigger barrels sizes will
create looser curls.
To amplify curling effects with short hair, use a small barrel.
Divide your hair into one inch thick sections and work on each one
individually. A comb can function as a shield to prevent burns on your
scalp from the hot iron. Using just the tip of the curler, place the
section between the curler clamps and hold in place for ten seconds
before releasing. Repeat these steps on each individual section.
Work your way up
With long hair, it is best to start at the bottom and work your way
up. To do this, simply tie up the top half of your hair. Separate the
hair into one inch sections and remember to pick the barrel size
according to how big or small you want your curls. Hold the end of the
hair between the clamps of the curler and roll the curler around the
hair until you reach the scalp. Hold for ten seconds and let it go.
Use a little more Barbar Crystal Seal if your hair is still frizzy after the
previous steps have been completed. Remember that once your hair gets
wet, it will go back to its normal state. In between curling, use a deep
conditioning treatment like the
Barbar Resuscitating Treatment or the
Ionic Protein Treatment to keep hair moisturized and nourished and to
prevent dryness.
Additionally, some of the Barbar irons are designed specifically to create more
exotic styles like zigzags or spirals. Feel free to
contact us if
you need help deciding which iron is good for you. If you are traveling
internationally, choose one of the Barbar hair products which comes with
a built-in universal adapter so you can safely plug your curling iron
anywhere around the world. Once you are accustomed to using the curling
iron, feel free to create new and fun hairstyles! The possibilities are
endless! |
